This was due to the low ceiling (we were seated upstairs but have also experienced this downstairs) and the tables are crammed in so you are very close to the next table. Secondly, the aircon was switched on after about 10 minutes of being seated and was, unfortunately for me, directly above my head and blasted out cold air. I asked the waitress if it could be turned down but seemingly not - so I froze. We enjoyed the daily special of crab and avacado for starter and swordfish for our main course. We were pleased that neither had a supplement attached. Our dinner, chosen from the set menu, was delicious and well-presented. When going to the theatre, time is always of essence, and Cafe has obviously had lots of experience in this necessity and the service was professional, friendly and
efficient. The only negative was that the restaurant was quite crowded with a queue waiting to get in, which shows it's
popularity and the proximity to Covent Garden makes it a draw. It is also very good value for money which is an added bonus!
