Bunch of Grapespre xmas sunday lunchHad excellent sunday lunch, good food, service and value, still best restaurant around pontypridd22/12/2012 16:00:00This is an old valleys pubThis is an old valleys pub nestled within what is now a back street in Pontypridd but it has transformed itself into a top quality gastro pub with the best selection of real ales and craft beers for miles around. Not only that but a delicatessen as well. Sunday lunch at most pubs and restuarants is usually the blandest of meals only suffered because of tradition. Not so here. Where else in Wales would you get fresh oysters to start and main course options that you wouldn't dream of at home. Take a look at the sample menus on the website - if you like food this alone should provoke a reservation. This place is impressive!!08/12/2012 16:00:00Sunday LunchReally enjoyed the meal I had Sunday. Really good service and a good choice of food that tasted fantastic.17/11/2012 16:00:00High quality lunchWe visited my son who is at Glamoragn University and treated him to Sunday lunch at the Bunch of Grapes. The set menu at just over £15 for 3 courses provided excellent value and quality. My wife's roast goat was unusual and of high quality. The desserts were particularly tempting and really delivered - the sticky toffee pudding (of which I judge myself a connoisseur) was up there with the best. Added to good friendly service and a range of real ales to die for (shame I had to drive back to Berkshire or it would have been a very boozy day) and I think it will become a fixture when we visit my son. He hadn't been before (although only a mile from where he lives) and he intends to go back soon.17/11/2012 16:00:00
