Brasserie JoelgreatHotel feel hurts the ambience, but otherwise great.17/05/2013 00:00:00Worth a visitWe visited this restaurant for the first time because of a Top Table offer, probably wouldn't have booked a restaurant in a hotel if it hadn't been for the 'dinner deal', but I have to say we were very pleasantly surprised. Once through the hotel lobby, Brasserie Joel delivers on many fronts. Nice ambiance, relaxed low lighting, pleasing decor, mixture of clientele and a sympathetic menu. Above all, the service is EXCELLENT, attentive, but not intrusive, humorous & charming. Would recommend this place, the whole experience was very good and we will definitely be revisiting in the future.16/05/2013 00:00:00Brasserie JoelLovely evening at Brasserie Joel at the Park Plaza - bar is relaxing for a pre or pst dinner drink. We had the "deal" menu - excellent value. Food was delicious. Good for couples, business or groups. View towards Westminster is stunning15/05/2013 00:00:00Joel LunchSecond time at Brassierie Joel, experience not as good as first time, service not as sharp, but food still divine.
Will use again though without hesitation15/05/2013 00:00:00Good valise for moneyVery good service, menu and wine was great, nice venue, perfect location. Will go again and recommend to friends.11/05/2013 00:00:00Beautiful food and surroundingsWe visited Joel's whilst staying at the Westminster Bridge Hotel, celebrating my wife's 40th birthday. We'd seen the restaurant on TV and made our booking purely on how the food looked. When we got our meals we were not disappointed. The dishes are quite simple yet beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. The Tuna tartare starter was nothing short of heavenly. We knew what to expect re: prices before visiting yet found that there was a set menu from which you could 2 or 3 courses from the main menu for a considerable saving, bringing the price close to some 'mass market' restaurants, yet the quality of the food would be worlds apart. We would definitely visit again.05/05/2013 00:00:00Very goodExcellent food and helpful staff, albeit they seemed a bit short-handed when I visited. Convenient location too, and the option to nip into the cocktail bar within the same hotel was an added bonus.26/04/2013 00:00:00PerfectThe food was just as it should always be (scallops, tuna tartare and Rossini are fantastic), the service is very efficient and very pleasant and friendly. Just looking forward to go back there. Congratulations!26/04/2013 00:00:00Excellent MealWe visited on a Sunday for a birthday meal, at first I was dubious about eating within a hotel but once inside it does not feel like you are (and the hotel is very nice!). We were offered the normal menu as well as the set menu that I did not know about. We both ordered from the set menu in the end as the choice was so good and the price was amazing. The food was served promptly and the waiter service was very good. My only comments are that the drinks are quite expensive and the atmosphere was a bit flat (although it was a Sunday and not very full!). I would go back with friends.07/04/2013 00:00:00Excellent family restuarantExcellent food, a restuarant where all the family can enjoy a very enjoyable evening.
Grandson Ben aged 6 was well looked after and thoroughly enjoyed his dining experience.02/04/2013 00:00:00What a find! We booked theWhat a find! We booked the 3 courses with unlimited drinks and we were not disappointed. The wine was excellent - a Malbec and the food was tasty, hot and was a good portion. The free bread and tapanade was a nice touch. The staff were attentive, friendly and efficient. A beautiful setting which I will visit again especially as it is so near Waterloo Station.30/03/2013 00:00:00gorgeousWhat a lovely restaurant. I hadn't really had propper french food before so was keen to try, and I will definately have it again. I had the french onion soup which was so tasty. Then the scallops with spagetti in a lovely creamy sauce. My mum had the special menu, 2 courses for about £17. Really good value. Then we popped into the bar next door for a drink while listening to a nice jazz singer. A great night. Nearly worthy of a michelin star.24/03/2013 00:00:00AMAZING!!We did the £29.95 offer and it was delicious, the service was fabulous, wine was good for ‘free’ wine and we stayed until we were practically asked to leave…20/03/2013 00:00:00Spectacular service and viewsWe visited Joel brasserie on the 3 course with unlimited drinks menu - from the moment we were greeted to the service and food, I could not fault the experience. Dante, our waiter was attentive and our glasses filled up without us having to ask. The ambience was right for a catch up with friends - we will definitely visit again as the views as we left of Westminster and Big Ben were breath-taking.15/03/2013 00:00:00Great dining experienceThe food was excellent, the portions were filling and the waiting staff was polite and pleasant. Overall, good value as we did not think the dishes were overpriced. Highly recommended whether it is a special occasion or you just appreciate good food!09/03/2013 00:00:00Nice atmosphere great serviceHad a very nice pre theatre meal. Good value, great service.15/02/2013 00:00:00Great StaffA massive thanks to all the staff and to our waiter Elliot.
It was the unlimited drinks menu which food wise is limited choices, but excellent!31/01/2013 16:00:00Great dinner - unlimited boozeAs always a fantastic meal - and the unlimited booze offer makes it incredible value. The whole party enjoyed themselves - so I would recommend30/01/2013 16:00:00Great valueWe booked the 3 course/unlimited drinks deal which is excellent value for money, we've been here quite a few times and normally they serve you wine right away, however now you have to wait until your starter arrives before getting your first alcoholic drink and the last drink is served after your main meal has been cleared... The food however is always amazing, they have just clamped down on the drinks....19/01/2013 00:00:00Fabulous amazingGreat offer 3 course from a choice of 3 starter, mains and dessert with beer, wines or soft drinks as much as you want ! For £29 per head a bargin
Great for a Saturday night out will be back18/01/2013 16:00:00Nice relaxed atmosphere. GoodNice relaxed atmosphere. Good lively buzz in the evenings18/01/2013 00:00:00Unlimited wine? It's goingUnlimited wine? It's going to be terrible right? Not at all...the house red was a delicious Chilean Malbec up there with some of the better known Argentineans and Cahor malbecs. Not ungenerous with topping up the glass either.
Snails were ok...too much onion and the garlic was tasteless and slightly vinegary. Steak was good although smallish (but hey steak on a cheap set menu even with a supplement was a nice surprise). Cheeses came with delicious breads. £75 for 2 including service and supplements was a complete bargain, given that we had bottled water 3 courses, a couple of beers and over a bottle of good quality red (have paid over £30 for worse)....I cant think of a better value meal I have had in ages!17/01/2013 16:00:00ImpeccableWent for friends engagement celebration, so booked TT deal unlimited wine menu and bread. Restaurant seated us straight away, service was very professional and friendly by our French waiter, Elliott. They even remembered it was an engagement celebration. Great menu and the unlimited wine was very nice. I had steak and thought it was rather tough. Apart from that, we all really enjoyed everything about it that night.16/01/2013 16:00:00Good food, service and value.I took a friend here for dinner before going on to the IMAX. We went for the unlimited drinks offer and overall had a very good experience.06/01/2013 16:00:00Third visit...As before thoroughly enjoyed the good food and thoughtful, attentive service. Top table offer was very good value. Only shame was the crying babies - at 9-11pm on a Saturday night was hoping to enjoy a quiet romantic meal in the restaurant's usual sophisticated ambience rather than being surrounded by the sounds of the kindergarten... Hopefully a one off blip.04/01/2013 16:00:00Great ServiceA good value offer ... 3 courses plus unlimited wine/beer.
Service was excellent and the set menu contained a number of good choices.01/01/2013 16:00:00New years eve 2012We are a family from Sweden, grandparents, parents together 9 people in the age 3-75 years. We decided to spend the evening at our hotel. At Brasserie Joel we was served a delicious 4 dishes menu. Would definitely go back! I am not sure why this restaurant is not packed out every night!21/12/2012 00:00:00Fantastic and enjoyable dinner.Fantastic and enjoyable dinner. Although the 2course £16.95/ 3course £19.95 pre-theatre menu has limited options, the quality is high and well worth the value. Also opted for the Aged Beef Tournedos Rossini, the beef & foie gras are very well prepared. The potato cake could have been lighter, but it's minor. Staff are very attentive and friendly. Would recommend.21/12/2012 00:00:00Lovely experienceI dined at Brasserie Joel on 19th Dec with a group of friends. I booked the TT £29.95 3 course meal with unlimited drinks. My expectations weren't very high as I thought it was a good of a deal to be true. But it was a lovely dining experience. Good food and good house wine with the deal!. The alcohol gets stopped being served once the dessert is brought out!
The hotel where the restaurant is situated is gorgeous. Also there are 2 other trendy bars, but drinks are a bit pricey
Have already booked another dinner there with the same deal!!18/12/2012 16:00:00Evening mealWe were booked on the special offer of 3 courses & unlimited drinks for £29.95

The decor and surroundings are very modern and opulent. Set menu options were a little limited but food on offer was amazing. Great choice of red, wine and asahi beer so everyone was kept happy. Service exceptional, we had a very polite server who kept us topped up and answered any questions on the menu well.
