We booked Bohemia for the Sunday of our weekend stay in Jersey but were quite concerned about eating at Bohemia as I read some very mixed reviews, so we also booked to eat at Tassili on the Saturday.
So bearing in mind both were exceptionally good - as you'd expect from a Michelin star restaurant, there were a few small things that did differentiate them from each other......
The food and wine were much on a par with some dishes being slightly better than others at both.
Notably the end to end (standard tasting) menu of Bohemia just had it over Tassili, nevertheless there was a gap to reach the standards of the Fat Duck !05/05/2013 00:00:00Fantastic tasting menu!My boyfriend and I went here for dinner on the bank holiday weekend and decided to go for the Prestige menu with wines. I'm vegetarian but my husband isn't and we were both utterly delighted with the tasting menus chosen to suit us both.
We couldn't recommend the experience highly enough.

As a vegetarian I am used to making do even at the best restaurants, and was pleasantly surprised that a vegetarian tasting menu was offered. Very enjoyable. My husband had the fish tasting menu which was also extremely good. We have both eaten at many top restaurants in London, Miami, Ny, Dubai, LA and we were so impressed.
The quality or the ingredients the freshness of the ideas the intense flavours and colour on each plate and the knowledge of the waiting staff made it a pleasurable experience for us both.

Having been a number of times in the past, I was a bit concerned to discover that Shaun Rankin was no longer in charge when we arrived. I was given vouchers for two people, however, printed on the voucher was "Gratuite not included".
I understand a gratuite is given freely, which I always do in the form of a tip at the end of the meal.
Amount of tip depends on service by the waiting staff and the quality of the food.
More for the waiting staff, because they are usually the lowest paid.
