Bloomsbury Street Bar and Restaurant - Covent GardenGreat eveningMy experience in Bloomsbury Street Restaurant last week was very good therefore memorable. Had 3 course meal with a glass of prosecco, great value for money. If you go to Bloomsbury St restaurant try the bar, there are very good cocktails on the menu and bar staff are very friendly and engaging. They gave me a few tips on how to make cocktails, shall certainly try to make my own one :)
We will certainly return to try the new concept which we were told it was going to be launched in coming week. Good luck team. Service was excellent, served by Hamish, (same as last time) charming and friendly, and very attentative to our needs! The staff were very friendly but seemed generally confused - brought 6 instead of 7 amuse bouches, forgot to serve the wine, only gave dessert cutlery to half of us, etc. They were very keen to correct mistakes so it was amusing more than annoying but they could work on it.
The food was excellent and well worth the money considering the 3 courses for £25 offer. The restaurent is in the hotel but their entrance (very dark double doors) disguises the treat that awaits diners! The moment we stepped through the door we had a warm welcome from the Staff & Maitre de Dwith. We were on time but Mum was delayed so we were led to the comfy sofa to have cocktails she arrived 30mins later but there was no hassle or rush to be seated at all.
We opted for the set dinner menu instead of the pre theatre.
The waiter Alexandre was wonderful and the food.....absolutely divine!! The downside was having rush to get to the Theatre but that was mums fault!! We even went back after the show for another delicious cocktail.

But this time I have booked the restaurant for 2 of my very close friends and paid for their meal as it was my Christmas present for them. To be honest I was nervous if they wouldn't like the restaurant but the feedback has been awesome. They have been looked after very well and they could not stop talking about how great the food was.

The staff were very appologetic and took the meal without questionnaing, a freshly cooked meal was brought out shorty. 3 of us had steak and this was the only 'bad one' so it must have been a bad cut.
