We had a lovely night everything was perfect. The staff were very polite and efficient, the ambience very nice and the food exceptional. I chose the Northumbrian chicken dish which was delicious and good value at £16. One friend chose rib eye steak at £21 which she really enjoyed and the other the lamb dish at £17 which was equally as good. Too good a restaurant to miss. We will be back. We usually go for our anniversary but this year my fiancé forgot (!) so I had to make do with a birthday celebration instead! We had lamb and beef as sunday roast which were very good but not exceptional, but my mums is hard to beat so don't take it as a big let down, as they were not. The sticky toffee pudding was amazing as was the pistachio & nutmeg ice-cream, though the custard tart was nice it didn't blow me away.
