On our most recent visit we had starters and a main each but we couldn't manage a dessert as we were so full up! I had the mini pies, mash and veg; the pies are full of succulent meat and juicy too :).
My husband had the sirloin steak, wedges and all the trimmings; he said this was cooked beautifully just as he'd requested. Great selection of reasonably priced wines and beers too. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming and you felt relaxed to be be able to sit back and chat without worrying about disturbing the other diners. The waitresses were all so helpful and courteous and went the extra mile in speaking to the chef about one of our dietary needs! The food was great value for money. It was just what we would expect from a local pub- good food and good atmosphere....
