I miss being in the US and this takes me home pretty quickly - chucky chowders, properly zesty buffalo wings, simple mac and cheese, proper burgers and lobsters, its all good. The tables are a bit tight and you will stink of seafood if you sink your hands in, but that is expected. Kids will enjoy the finger food. Portions are not tiny, big enough for the family to enjoy. Service is quick and helpful if you have trouble deciding on what you want to order. You get massive portions of delicious food especially if you like BBQs. The whole lobster is very tasty - not for those in a rush as it takes patience to pick out all the lovely meat but it is fun. The baby back ribs are delicious and the sauce is one of the nicest I've had. The side dishes that come with the meal are excellent. Lovely bowl of beans and loads of fries. Barman friendly and knowledgeable, waiters very friendly. Waited quite a while for our main but checked with the waiter who came back to advise it had not been "called away" when our starters had been cleared and that there would be a delay. He brought two free of charge beers with him to make up for this which was appreciated. We were recommended this place and told to make a reservation ahead of time as it can get quite busy, and good thing we did, the line of people waiting was winding outside the door! The food was amazing - I recommend trying the lobster specials (you get a free drink with most meal combos) and the BBQ - great value for such high quality food and especially for Chelsea. However do make a booking as it does get crazy busy in the evenings (haven't been for lunch but I presume it's busy then as well). The only downside was it was packed, and the tables are small and quite close together, so not really a romantic/chilled out setting, but anyone visiting London should try this place. The beast will return!!!!!!!04/05/2013 00:00:00Simply the Best American DinerSimply the best American Diner in the UK, I am travelled, and I love my food from street food to some of the best eateries in the world, but the The Big Easy always stuns me, from the front of house, always a warm welcome no matter how much pressure they are under (this is a very busy place - always try and book) to the Kitchen - how do they serve so many yummy meals from that Kitchen? - whenever I viset London I try to make time to go here.
Live music - Great, never obtrusive, Cocktails great value, thanks to the cocktail guy who knocked us up a couple of Aperello Spritz on the fly - Impressive.
On face value, I will stand by my statement - "Simply the best", by a country mile

And for the iorst time we ordered the mac & cheese - although I was already full from my own fabulous steak and shrimp I almost wanted to devour the whole thing it was so tasty!

My starter of seafood chowder was outstanding, as my half a lobster and rib eye steak. The food was great. I had the ribs and chicken which came with coleslaw and beans. It was all brilliant and the person I went with loved it too.
