The reservations team were helpful in accommodating our change of time, though there were 3 other tables only occupied as we arrived at 13.45. We chose from the a la carte menu which was more expensive than the food justified. That said, the confit de canard and the sea bass were cooked as they should be. The rioja was full of flavour. We seemed to have several waiters but overall service was fine. We had not dined there before. The grounds and the roaming peacocks are very impressive.
The restaurant's main dining room is nicely done. The high ceilings, decor, and lighting are tasteful, inviting, and well integrated - upscale but not over the top. It is a fun and attractive space.
The service and food were terrific. The staff attended to us and to our children warmly and professionally. The halibut and veal chop were both excellent. There is a simple and interesting children's menu that offers three courses, all of which were appealing and well prepared.

We went for dinner with a couple of friends and had a delightful meal in what is rather a unique decor for a restaurant in central London. Very much appreciated the intimacy and tranquil environment, discreet and highly professional service. Menu is appealing and innovative yet not overstated. We loved the starters, the seared scallops were particularly delightful and the desserts were subtly flavoursome and light. Meat and fish for the mains were beautifully cooked, they would have been perfect had a little more preparation perhaps gone into some of the accompanying vegetables. I took my partner there for a birthday treat and it was a good choice. The service was attentive, the piano music was relaxing and the food and wine were excellent. The starters all looked delicious- including those I spotted going to other tables. As for main courses, there were several fish options (not many veggie ones), so I was happy. I wasn't sure if beetroot would work well with white fish but it was a delicious combination. My partner happily tucked into his venison, which came in generous slices.
Our meal was at 8pm, so it was dark outside, and the Belvedere is undoubtedly at its best at little later in the year. All dishes were very generous proportions and there was also a good selection for the vegetarian in our party.

Think better to visit when the nights are lighter and you can see the gardens or for a nice lunchtime venue . Food was great no complaints at all and very professional service. Pianist needed a bit of a helping hand with his choice of songs we thought, and had 2 breaks in fhe short time we were there. I noted this on the booking form and was pleasantly surprised when a candle topped pudding arrived for my daughter. The ambiance of this restaurant is exceptional - we love it in the winter months when the light is something special in this brightly lit venue.
The cost was somewhat high for 4 at well over 200 GBP. The food is at the high end but not quite gourmet. Portions can be on the large side - so tough to get through 3 course set menu - which was the only option we had.

The restaurant itself is lovely, the staff were very attentive.
The first two courses were great. It was just a shame that the dessert was so bad. The dessert menu is possibly one of the best I have seen on paper, it was just badly executed and was like it had been pre-made a long time before. The interesting thing was that the restaurant is a Marco Pierre White restaurant, and I have had a similar let down in another of his restaurants with the creme brulee. The food was delicious and the menus were delightfully creative. I had the Menu du Jour which really hit the spot, my friend sampled the a la Carte menu and was also as impressed as I was.
