I had rung to ask beforehand if they did anything for birthdays & they said that you got a cupcake with a candle & it would be in the booking. This was only done when I prompted them discreetly and when it came it was a small sugar cone with some whipped cream in it, which was fairly underwhelming. Other than that the service was excellent. At the weekends the roofs gardens, are a club and as a Babylon customer you get half price entry (£10pp). Very poor, too many people crammed in, got pushed about alot and lots of lads peacocking. I wouldn't bother with the club again. The wine is on the expensive side, but then again,good choice, quality and some unusual selections - I went for an Alsace Pinot Noir which I know quite well from working over there, but have never seen on a wine list in the UK. We had a special menu for London Restaurant fortnight though we had not planned it that way. We ate sqid, parfait and pear and walnut salad which were delicious. Our mains were roast chicken and sea bream all of wich were fantastic. The service was very impressive and all the staff made us feel very welcome. Added to the very impressive views over London and the wonderful roof gardens which we explored after our meal made us feel that we had been somewhere special. It was n't our first time there and it will continue to be on our regular dining out list for the future. The setting is lovely, the view out over London and the heated terrace was gorgeous. The champagne cocktails that we had to start were delicious and from then on everything was great. The portions did not look like they were very generous, but after three courses, we were very full. The wine was lovely as well and as the restaurant got busier the service still stayed at the same level.
