A word from Avenue Restaurant
Avenue Restaurant in Mayfair has beautifully minimalist décor and buzzing cosmopolitan atmosphere that wouldn’t look or feel out of place in Milan or Manhattan. Luckily for London’s diners, it’s located in St James - just a short walk from Green Park and Piccadilly, perfect for sight-seeing. Inside, the ceilings soar and the skylight stretches along an entire side of the dining room to create a bright, airy dining space. Avenue’s Head Chef, Kimmo Makkonen, by way of The Greenhouse, Aubergine and The Orrery, allows his Finnish background to influence the modern British menu. He has a passion for seasonal ingredients and the fantastic array of cultures, flavours and methods available to him in cosmopolitan London. Popular dishes include Dover sole meuniere, parsnips and sea purslane; herb crusted rack of lamb, baby artichokes and roasted onions and; classic apple tart, vanilla ice cream.Continued
