Aubaine Heddon Street
Aubaine Heddon StreetNice place in a narrow street next to Regent street.
Good food, especially french patisseries.14/05/2013 00:00:00Safe choice in central LondonIt's not always easy to find a restaurant that takes bookings AND serves good food in central London, but Aubaine ticks this box. Food was great (particularly enjoyed the caramel macaroon I had with my coffee - sometimes you just don't need a proper dessert but need a mouthful of something sweet and delicious). House white was good. Staff were efficient, friendly and courteous. There's a couple of booths which allow for more privacy, and a nice looking function room downstairs, as well as outdoor tables. The toptable special offer make this particularly good value for money.30/04/2013 00:00:00Bloody Bellini brunchGreat location, lovely setting, very attentive service. Had a lovely time catching up with an old friend on a Saturday at around 12 noon. The food was very good, We both had Lobster Egg Royal which was lovely. The desert selection was great and although the no glutein chocolate cake was a bit dry, the pistachio raspberry sponge was excellent. Recommend!
On the negative side - it was rather cold and drafty where my friend sat, air-con was blowing directly on her and by the end of it she was freezing so went to another place to have tea to warm up.27/04/2013 00:00:00Two at lunchReally great place. It's our third time here, &it's ways lovely. We felt like we were in Paris.14/04/2013 00:00:00Sunday lunch - Prix FixWe had a fantastic Sunday lunch at Heddon Street, sitting outside in the sunshine. The Prix Fix menu for £19.50 included only a limited selection on the starters but a good selection of mains from the a la carte menu. Despite the small starter selection the food was delicious - we had a roquefort, pear and walnut salad, followed by herb crusted cod. Complimentary bread basket meant that we were fine to order only a side of greens. The highlight had to be our waiter though - very charming, keen to please and efficient.07/04/2013 00:00:00Great Toptable DealAubaine in Heddon Street is a great little restaurant tucked away behind busy Regent Street.
A table was booked for two using the Top Table deal which was great value.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent.
Would definitely recommend if you are wanting to step back from the tourist area of Regent Street.06/04/2013 00:00:00Lovely lunchThis was our first visit to the restaurant. The food was delicious and service was friendly. The atmosphere was casual and easy going which was a pleasant surprise. We will definitely go back.04/04/2013 00:00:00Couldn't fault it...Service was excellent and food was just as good. Would go back.28/03/2013 00:00:00A real French accent always does itThis small chain has created a modern and romantic space in the Regent Street eating quarter,. An appealing range of wines, including by the glass, was helpfully arranged by style rather than grape. We went without starter, so our mains were a flavoursone lamb rack and an excellent chicken supreme. Desert was chosen from an appealing aray on a plater.27/03/2013 00:00:00Great placeI love Aubaine, both the the food and service are great. Our waiter was very friendly and gave us some good recommendation for wine and food. That place is great for a date or catching up amongst friends. I highly recommend it.26/03/2013 00:00:00Saturday Brunch at Aubainebeautiful restaurant with tables spaced far enough for you not to hear the conversation of the neighbouring tables. the duck egg omelette with smoked salmon & the duck egg wild mushrooms brioche dish were both amazing, as was the cream of artichoke soup. the salads were large, which i liked. the waiter brought around a tray of desserts for us to select, and the salted caramel macaron was amazing. definitely worth treating yourself to a saturday brunch here—the menu is interesting & worth your pounds23/03/2013 00:00:00The French do it againFabulous restaurant; authentic, relaxed friendly atmosphere; super food. The French waiters are spot on.07/03/2013 00:00:00Fabulous dining experienceGreat ambience, sumptuous cuisine, great location and outdoor dining option. Very attentive waiters. Will certainly return!01/03/2013 00:00:00A perfect birthday treatI took a friend to dinner for her birthday and the service couldn't have been more delightful. Champagne cocktails appeared immediately and a special birthday dessert was beautifully presented. I had a simple meal -- steak and spinach -- but it was perfectly prepared. My friend had salmon tartare, also excellent. The atmosphere was comfortable and inviting and the staff were all very, very nice, friendly and professional. I look forward to eating at Aubaine Heddon Street again soon.28/02/2013 00:00:00Great meal, great valueI really enjoyed my meal at Aubaine. Just loved the ambience, the food and excellent service. Kept ordering more Irish coffees after the meal as we didn't want to leave we were so comfortable! We will definetly be back.16/02/2013 00:00:00ValentinesMy girlfriend and I spent a lovely evening at Aubaine on Feb 14th.
We got there relatively early - before it got busy, and were seated on a cute table by the window.
The ambience was nice. The lights were dimmed and the faint sound of music could be heard under the conversation.
Our waiter was a nice guy, very polite, French accent (as one might expect in a French restaurant) and always on hand.
The food was very tasty and the portions were a decent size - leaving just enough space for pudding.
For mains I had the chicken, whilst my girlfriend had the scallops - and both were cooked to perfection - complimented with an array of crunchy vegetables. We also selected a refreshing sauvignon blanc from the varied wine list.
We'll be back.14/02/2013 00:00:00Brilliant service, brilliant foodThird time at Aubaine, Heddon Street and even on a grim winter's Monday evening, the restaurant served up delicious food and a warm ambience. Party of two girls in our early twenties, tucked away nicely in the corner yet never feeling unattended - perfect for a long awaited catch up. Coincidentally, this restaurant also served as an intimate leaving party in the summer before said catch up. Had the winter special menu; £19.50 seems like very good value for roquefort salad and duck confit!11/02/2013 00:00:00Well cooked foodHigh quality ingredients cooked fairly simply but well. Service friendly and helpful. Overall a good meal and we'll be back.11/02/2013 00:00:00Enjoyed the mealFood was great, enjoy the atmosphere, very friendly staff - food was bit cold. but worth for money08/02/2013 00:00:00Aubaine was just perfect!
OutstandiAubaine was just perfect!
Outstanding food and very friendly and polite staff.
I definitely recommend this restaurant which has great relaxing atmosphere and charm.07/02/2013 00:00:00AubaineA first visit to this restaurant left us wondering why we hadn't been before. Friendly attentive staff and good choices on the TT menu. We will come again06/02/2013 00:00:00Lovely dinner outAmbiance is a simple french bistro. We were there on a packed evening and the service was excellent, which for the middle of Mayfair on a packed evening is quite a feat.
Charming, but not overly elegant. I had scallops with pickled cauliflower, my husband had the lobster dish. Both were well prepared and tasty. They were not truly stellar, but certainly good enough for a lovely night out. The staff was very attentive. We enjoyed our evening.29/12/2012 16:00:00Great food, great serviceThanks for a very enjoyable evening. I booked for 10 people - although in the end there were just 7 attendees - for our office Christmas dinner. The service was very good, and the service was great.20/12/2012 16:00:00Good food, nice atmosphereEnjoyed a lovely meal at Aubain with a group of friends. Food was delicious although the set menu had a very limited choice of starters17/12/2012 00:00:00
