I had reserved a table on lone and on arrival we were shown to our table. The service was first class and the food was excellent.
I had heard a lot about The Artichoke since it had been taken over and was pleased to have the opportunity to try it out. Although it was a little expensive it was well worth the extra.

We stayed at the bar, then headed over.
As soon as we sat down, we were talked through the Specials and given the menus, and the wine list.
There was a good choice of starters and mains, with some sharing dishes.
I had Spinach soup to start and the other diners on my table enjoyed the mussels.
For mains, we had the rib eye steadk, which was delicious. These were accompanied by potatoes of choice.
This was enough, the portion sizes were generous.
We had a bottle of white Rjoja, which was lovely and then a bottle of Malbec, which was lovely too. The service is fantastic, they can never do enough for you. I would say also that the waffle is a must. Not the choc mousse waffle though, it's very dry but the banoffee waffle is out of this world.
