Alfresco RestaurantBirthday DinnerI booked this restaurant as a special meal for my boyfriend's birthday and we were not disappointed! Views were excellent, ambience was excellent and our food was fantastic. The mint choc chip ice cream for dessert was to die for! I even mentioned during the evening that this had to have been the best meal out I have had in a long time!
Although the meal was booked for a Sunday night and you wouldn't expect it to be too busy, it was still fairly full but the service was still excellent.

As per previous visits, the food was divine. The menu is authentic italian changes with the seasons with specials as well. Service from the knowledgeable and experienced staff was non intrusive and our requests were attended to swiftly. We had an added bonus of a couple of complimentary home made profiteroles at the end of the meal. The restaurant has a really nice view of the sea and prom in the day time. We hadn't been here before, but the experience was great! The restaurant was set up with valentine's decor (admittedly a bit cheesy but good for the occasion), and we were offered a price fix menu that included a champagne drink, starter, main, and dessert. The food was good, but I wouldn't give it 5 stars as it's not the absolute best I've ever had - still worth the price and delicious! The food and the ambience banished any worries about the weather. great menu so we were spoilt for choice (not something that happens that often in our experience). As a table of six we all had different things and we were all pleased with our choices from the more exotic (duck, fish terrine to the more prosaic - parma ham). The food was great, especially the past dishes (wild boar tortellini). If I could i would have eaten more! Quibble in that they did not have all the beer or wine choices on the wine list. This must be a great place in the summer as its right on the beach.
