My other half always has the rabbit even though he says he should try something different......he keeps going back to the rabbit as it is seriously good! We're normally too full for a dessert (mainly due to the generous bread board which is served) but this time we found room and we were very glad we did!"

I have dined here before over the years with friends but it was the first time for my husband and he was suitable impressed. The starters were good and the lamb was delicious. It is a good place to dine but somewhat let done by the shop front and interior which is clean but lacks atmosphere."

  • "Shared starter of mixture of the various separate starters was very good, not called antipasti but definitely was, although I'm from Yorkshire so what do I know. I had rabbit with potatoes - very good. My wife had jumbo prawns with beans which turned out to be a sauce but she was still very pleased, particularly as she had some of my potatoes. Highly recommended."

  • "my four friends and I always enjoy the food at 500, but the noise levels reached uncomfortable decibels on this occasion. I don't know what can be done about it short of carpeting the venue. The ravioli was exceptionally good as ever, and we always choose the antipasti platters as they are excellently presented and a delicious varied selection of items. The wine list is exciting too. Overall, we will be back, but will try to find a quieter timeslot."

  • "500 has lost a little of its pizzazz since it opened but is still a good, reliable, and friendly restaurant. It's not cheap however and struggles a bit to work out whether it's a high-end classy eatery or a cheery neighbourhood restaurant. The prices suggest the former, but the food and ambience the latter. Having said that, everything tastes good, it's all well cooked and presented and the wine list is decent and affordable. I just wish occasionally they'd really surprise me! A good place for a special dinner with local friends."

  • "Went in a large group and had a good time. Restaurant was nice and the food was very good, with the exception of desert which was terrible. Despite the 50% off food offer it was still very expensive, around £40 a head. The waiters will try to push a lot of extras, which can be annoying. I probably wouldnt go back as cant believe how much it cost"

  • "Great choice of pasta dishes either as starters or mains (e.g. fresh tagliatelle with a crab, gurnard and almond sauce), imaginative Trattoria style meat dishes (e.g. rabbit in mustard sauce), a great selection of excellent wines: this makes 500 a real slice of Italy (with a Sardinian slant) and it's on our doorstep in Archway – what could be better! Prices are fair and service is always friendly and attentive. Nice selection of good quality grappa too!"

We shared a selection of starters (burrata and artichokes were particularly nice) and each opted for a different pasta option as a main course. We were all very happy with our food choices, and the waiters made us feel very special. We would eagerly recommend the venue for hosting a family event."

An interesting and varied Italian menu. not just pastas and fresh black or white truffle was an option to be shaved over your dish. Cost just £120 for three of us - 2 courses each with wine, coffee and the truffles! A real treat."

The truffle pasta was delicious, and this time around, the oven baked rabbit with sautee potatoes was outstanding, with very good wine to accompany. Will be back soon!"

Being restricted to fish and vegetarian is a challenge at 500 but the chef always manages to adapt his menu to suit us as everything is cooked fresh. Happy to recommend 500 - enjoy!!"

The dishes are well thought out and I would recommend ordering the snacks (they are like ravioli parcels) with an apperitif whilst looking at the menu...they are truly delicious and incredibly light.The rabbit legs were delicious. Rabbit legs can be a little sparce on the meat and high on the bones....not at 500! The pasta parcels filled with slow cooked pork in balsamic vinegar and mascarpone cheese, butter and sage sauce is well worth having. It left me wanting more....and not because of the portion size, but because I loved it so much!"

  • "Cinquecento is a well kept secret - wonderful food without pretension. Always fresh, always tasty and the best place I know for roast rabbit. This time I went for their ravioli filled with slow cooked pork - it was divine. It's one of those restaurants you keep on wanting to go back to and are never disappointed."
